We all know by now that detoxing removes impurities from the blood in the liver, through the kidneys, the intestines, lungs, your skin, and lymphatic system. It takes a minimum of 3 days to flush out the lymph vessels and nodes throughout the body. Detoxing is preventive maintenance to achieving bodily homeostasis, and homeostasis is balance and harmony in your body, soul and spirit. As we prepare for next week's juice detox, we are going to lay out the process as well as the recipes we will be using. Please note to adjust the recipes as needed depending on your dietary restrictions. With that said, it is okay to substitute the fruits and veggies with ones that are similar in nutrient content if you are sensitive to the ones listed. We are doing a minimum of 32 ounces a day, but you can add another 16-ounce serving if desired. Remember to drink water in between your juice intake as well.
1-Week Before
Adapt a vegan diet to begin purging your body in order to get the most out of this detox. Refrain from gluten, artificial sugar and soy and anything processed as much as possible.
1-Day Before
Eat raw fruits and vegetables, seeds, nuts and sprouts.
